			<title>Recent Changes to PimpYourScope.com</title>
			<link>http://pimpyourscope.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=39&amp;Itemid=2</link>
			<description>
There have been a couple changes recently to PimpYourScope.com that I wanted to make people aware of:

	Author's Blog - I have taken the time to move my old blog from Blogspot.com to here. This allows me to consolidate and focus on PimpYourScope, where my heart belongs. You may access the blog from clicking on Author's Blog in the main menu.
	User Comments - Registered users can now leave comments on any of the content posted on PimpYourScope.com. If you have something to share, feel free to register and let us know.

			<title>Looking For Writers / Photos (You can help!)</title>
			<link>http://pimpyourscope.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=30&amp;Itemid=2</link>
			<description>

PimpYourScope.com is looking for people that would be willing to contribute documentation or photos of their homemade telescopes to the site.

We are looking for articles written by authors that have taken their time. If you think you have an article that would be beneficial to the Amateur Astronomer community to have let's get it posted! Articles can cover anything from very simple to highly complex. Let your imagination run! If you would like to write a new article or you already have a completed article that you would like to share please feel free to contact me at gstrike@pimpyourscope.com.

Also, if you have built a telescope we know you're proud of your accomplishment. If you would like to share it with the Amateur Astronomer community send me an e-mail so we can get your photos posted in the ATM Telescopes Gallery (index.php?option=com_content task=category sectionid=5 id=24 Itemid=54)!

If you're looking for a way to help support our site. Try going to our new store (http://pimpyourscope.spreadshirt.com/) and purchasing some authentic PYS branded clothing.

Currently, the only t-shirt available in our store is the one shown on the left but we have more coming! We are hard at work to make sure that you can sport your hobby and look cool doing it! Hopefully in the near future we'll be able to have other types of merchandise as well, but right now, just t-shirts! Hope you enjoy!

			<title>What is PimpYourScope.com?</title>
			<link>http://pimpyourscope.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=20&amp;Itemid=2</link>
			<description>
PimpYourScope.com is a resource for Astronomers of any magnitude. It is my way of giving back to a community that has given me so much when I decided to build my telescope (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=19 Itemid=54) (aka. Cheeks). If it weren't for people posting their projects online I would not have been able to build my telescope.

The site is still new but will have documentation on how to use, build, and modify your telescopes to get the most use and enjoyment out of your passion. You can find some good freebies too. Currently, there is a handy 2008 Astronomy Wall Calendar available for download in PDF form (look in the Download section) and people can post pictures of telescopes they've built.

If you are interested in writing some documentation for PimpYourScope.com please contact me. Enjoy the site!
